The 35th Monterey Historic Automobile RacesDirector: Greg HarveyCopywriter: Graham SimonEditor: Parker WilsonThis was the second in a series of three videos that I was a part of creating for the release of Gran Turismo 5. Here we followed Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi as he took a trip to the Monterey Historics to watch some of the most pristine classic racing cars out there take to the track. It was a long, fun day of lugging four HVX500s with huge zoom lenses all around the track with the four other camera ops.Then, when we got back to the office with all the footage, it was up to me, working with writer Graham Simon, to make some kind of a story out of the whole thing. In the end, I think it turned out pretty well.

There he was to select one car for a very unique prize... the chance to have their car available to be driven in Gran Turismo 5.It was an amazing time running all over Pebble Beach capturing the feel of the most prestigious auto show in the world. I was a camera operator during the shoot, and then also did this edit, working with scriptwriter Graham Simon to turn all we had shot into a story that actually made sense.
